About SportsDelulu
July 5, 2026
Welcome to SportsDelulu, an independent football and sports news site built for fans who cannot get enough of the game. We publish in seven languages, follow the sport across the globe, and keep everything free to read. This page explains who we are, what we cover, the standards we hold ourselves to, and how to reach us.
What SportsDelulu is
SportsDelulu (https://sportsdelulu.com) is an independent, multilingual football and sports news site. We publish in seven languages: English, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Italian. Our current focus is the FIFA World Cup 2026, and around that we cover news, live scores, match coverage, teams, and competitions all year round.
We are independent. We are not owned or directed by any club, league, federation, or governing body. The site is free to read and supported by advertising, so you never hit a paywall to follow a story or check a score.
Our mission and editorial approach
Our mission is simple: give football fans everywhere fast, accurate, fan-first coverage in a language they actually speak. Too much of the best reporting stays locked inside one language or one market. We want a supporter in Cairo, Lisbon, Berlin, or Mexico City to reach the same story with the same care, at the same speed.
That shapes how we work:
- Fast, but not careless. We move quickly on breaking news, then keep updating as the picture becomes clearer.
- Fan-first. We write for the people in the stands and on the couch, not for insiders. The tone is warm, the analysis is honest, and the excitement is real.
- Accurate and sourced. We report what we can stand behind, and we cite where our information comes from so you can judge it for yourself.
- Built for a global, multilingual audience. Every language edition is a first-class edition, not an afterthought.
What we cover
SportsDelulu follows football from the grassroots headlines to the biggest stages:
- News. Transfers, team announcements, injuries, managerial moves, and the stories shaping each season.
- Matches. Live scores, fixtures, results, and match coverage as games unfold.
- Teams. Squad news and form for clubs and national sides.
- Competitions. Major domestic leagues, continental tournaments, and international football, with a strong focus on the road to and through the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Football is our launch focus, and our coverage grows with the calendar and with what our readers care about most.
Editorial standards
Credibility is the whole point of a news site, so we hold a clear standard:
- Accuracy. We check facts before we publish and correct the record when something is wrong. Getting it right matters more than getting it first.
- Sourcing and citation. When we report information that originates elsewhere, we say so and, where possible, link to it. Readers should be able to trace a claim back to where it came from.
- Corrections on request. If you spot an error, tell us. We review every corrections request in good faith and update the article when a correction is warranted, so the published version reflects the most accurate information we have.
We aim to be the kind of source you can quote to a friend without checking twice.
How we are funded
SportsDelulu is free to read and funded by advertising. Display and in-article ads on the site let us keep the journalism open to everyone, in every language we publish, without a subscription. Advertising supports the work; it does not decide what we report. Editorial decisions are made on the merits of the story, not the wishes of an advertiser.
For details on the advertising and analytics technologies we use, the cookies involved, and your choices, see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
The name and the brand
The name SportsDelulu blends “sports” with “delulu,” the affectionate fan slang for the joyful, slightly delusional optimism of devoted supporters. It is the belief that your team really can win the league, that this is finally the year, that the wonderkid will be worth every penny. Football runs on that hope, and so do we. The name is a wink at every fan who has ever refreshed a transfer feed at 2 a.m. and believed. We take the reporting seriously and the fandom joyfully.
