The World Cup 2026 final is here, and the essentials are simple enough: Argentina against Spain, MetLife Stadium, and a kick-off timed for prime viewing across two continents. What follows is the when, the where and the how, with a nod to what the models make of it.

Argentina and Spain kick off at 3pm in New York on Sunday, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. That is noon on the West Coast, 8pm in the United Kingdom, and 9pm across most of western Europe. Fans further east are in for a late one: it is 10pm in Saudi Arabia and later still around the Gulf. In the United States, Fox carries the final in English, with a stream on FoxSports.com and the Fox Sports app. Telemundo holds the Spanish-language rights, with streaming on Peacock. Elsewhere, local rights holders will show the match in full, so it is worth checking the listings in your own market. A World Cup final is as much occasion as fixture, and most broadcasters will wrap it in hours of preamble.
Spain vs Argentina prediction
The neutrals have a narrow favourite. Opta's supercomputer makes Spain about 59 percent likely to lift the trophy, with Argentina at roughly 41 percent, a nod to the European champions' control of games and their meanness at the back. Spain have conceded rarely all summer. Argentina, as ever, have leaned on Lionel Messi to unpick the tight ones.

The road here

Across from him stands Lamine Yamal, 19, the boy who grew up idolising him, who would be the youngest man to win a World Cup in the modern era. Spain, for their part, have not been champions since 2010.
There is a personal subplot, too. The Golden Boot has slipped from Messi's grasp: Kylian Mbappe reached 10 goals in the third-place playoff earlier on Sunday and now leads outright. Messi, on eight, would need to score at least twice to take it back. One more reason, if any were needed, to be watching on time.
